Purification Rituals in Mediaeval Judaism
Subterranean Monuments: The mikvehs in the mediaeval Jewish communities were not little wooden sheds but monumental bath houses. Like churches, they were built by master builders of renown. Today the team sets off to the mikveh in Friedberg. Here in the cold water at a depth of up to 25 metres they are going to look for inscriptions. What will the researchers find?
